    Default VPN on Pi

    Hey,

I have tried for a couple of weeks now to set up a Pi as a VPN.
I ideally want to use L2TP as this works with iPhones etc.. without the need for a third party app.

I installed Openswan and configured, but a recent update to Wheezy/Debian has prevented this from working (Heartbleed fix the cause I think).
Other than rolling back to an older OS image, has anyone got a solution or alternative?

I have Googled the life out of it but with no success.. I am using my Mac Mini as a VPN currently but want to move it to a Pi. I really want to avoid having to use a third party app on the iPhone (Open VPN) and will have to put on the latest OS because I will be shifting everything onto a Pi 2 (Subsonic Music Server and a few other bits will be on it).

    Thanks.

You could use squid but it introduces a few security issues - tbh probably nothing you'd need worry about.

    Thanks to blacksheep
