Steve Prescott 10k run

I am hoping that some of you can reach into your pockets and sponsor the wife in running this.

Bit of back ground.

The wife as never taken on anything like this and as decided to give it a go for this worth while cause. In doing so she has been training and as lost over a stone to help her with this run.

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a Totally Inspirational Man Steve Prescott MBE. 9 Years Ago he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a Terminal Cancer & sort out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Try Assist Fund. Supporting The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

The man himself.

Steve played professional rugby league for his home town St Helens as well as Hull (twice) and wakefield. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal stomach cancer and was given just months to live. He decided to set up the foundation to help christies hospital, try assist which is rugby leagues benevolent fund and Oxford Transplant foundation.
He as raised thousands of pounds doing marathons and other events that you would not expect a man in his condition to be able to do. In 2010 he was given a MBE which was 4 years after he was expected to pass away. Steve died in 2013 and in that time the foundation as raised nearly £500,000. In 2014 the man of steel trophy that is given to the best player of the year as voted by the players was renamed to the Steve Prescott man of steel award.
What steve did over the 7 years was something that was truly extraordinary.
