    Help Saving Emails

How do I save an email in such a way I can prove legally it's genuine and hasn't been tampered with? I read somewhere each email has a unique identification number but I'm not sure if this is correct.

Basically I want to print off an email that I can keep in case in a few years I need to use it to defend myself and I don't want that person denying they ever sent it or at the very least accusing me of altering it.
I understand and accept that some people hold opinions that are different to my own. Living in a free and democratic society, I fully embrace and respect their right to be wrong.

Print it? I think anything printed can potentially be modified tbh.

Leave it in your inbox, don't move it or do anything to it. The headers on the original email should prove where it came from. But if you move it from where it was originally sent then you'd struggle to prove it's authenticity

    wow really?

just use some common sense it isn't hard - print it out / email to other accounts / print to pdf etc etc etc

No offence meant but really it is not a hard thing to do to save some emails and shit

Yeah that's what I thought hence why I asked but I thought there was also some hidden data I could print off to prove it's authenticity.

It's an email from my solicitor that I'd like to keep as it may come back to haunt me at some stage :-)
