Can't recieve incoming calls, home button doesn't work

Phone is a Moto G 2nd gen dual sim.

Was working fine for ages, recently it did a software update itself to 6.0 which seemed ok. About two weeks later now I have some fun.

Since late Friday/early Sat, I have stopped receiving phone calls. Sometimes texts come through but I'm not 100% sure if all texts are coming through or not.

Just realised today something is definitely wrong. After the sw update, the top half of the screen would change colour to match which line the call was coming in through.

Today tried a test call from another phone, after about 30 secs my handset started ringing, but instead of red or blue which I normally get to show me which line I am using, I got purple.

This made me think maybe viber had buggered up my phone so I uninstalled Viber, rebooted, now after about 30 secs the phone call gets rejected with no voicemail.

Also round about the same time this started, my home button stopped working. However if I press the button to it's right (the one that brings up tabs for all your open apps), then press the home button it seems to work.

I'm praying someone knows how to fix this without a factory restore.

I seem to have mostly fixed it - I noticed if I tried to click developer options it said developer options are not available for this user. So I changed to the guest user and the phone worked perfectly. Changed back to my normal user and most of my phones features started working again - it appears I have had no notifications from any apps for last couple of days. However the home button issue still exists. I think I may just plod along like this for a couple of days until the shops are all open and I can just get a new one.
