    Default Best projector under £250

Hi all looking for a HD LED projector for under £250, it needs to come from Amazon though as I have some vouchers to use for it.

I was watching that one someone recommended, but even at the cut price of £350 it was over my budget (although it's now back at 5ton+)

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations, it won't be used for a gaming but will be used for Sky TV and the off HD film.

Thanks guys, I had the feeling that was the case. I'll save a little longer then before taking the plunge.

    Hey,

For that money you are only going to get 720p with no 3D.
720p can generally be good enough and 3D is not a big loss unless you really like watching them.

Keep an eye on the Amazon Daily Deals, they often have projectors on, only a couple of days ago did they have an Epson gaming/movie 720p projector for about £300
I took advantage of a BenQ full HD, 3D one earlier in the year. Was reduced to £450 from nearly £700 so they do offer good discounts on those daily deals. Just sign up for the email.

One thing I would mention though in prep for your projector is to consider the throw range!
I bought the BenQ and just thought I could adjust everything to make it fit the wall I had in mind with the projector on a shelf the other side of the room... Not the case. The projector was too far away to make the image fit and I have now had to project onto a different wall using the side projection mode, meaning I have lost the epic huge 140" image for something roughly 70". It would not have been a problem if I had not chased all the cables into the wall etc!

Anyway, this site gives very good help on the whole throw range/position of projector: http://www.projectorcentral.com/proj...ulator-pro.cfm

    Thanks to Squizza

Just logged into Amazon to buy some bits and pieces, this was down the side:

Fits your budget and the reviews seem to be ok..

Looks pretty decent that, only real complaints seem to be around the Rainbow effecting.

Debating to buy this or hold out and save for a better one?

I think you get rainbow effects with most projectors.
At the end of the day it is from Amazon, they are very good at accepting returns so why not take the plunge and give it a go.
If no good after a week, ship it back to them. Will only cost you the postage.

    Thanks to Squizza

A mate of mine just got one from richer sounds I know it is way over budget at £600 but it's bloody jaw dropping on a 100 inch screen with 7.1 or 2 surround sound it's like being in the cinema .as stated save then save a while longer if I had the space I would have the same as I had a serious case of envy

I am a firm believer in buying a beginners one, then moving that to the bedroom etc.. and investing in a proper one afterwards
