Solar Eclipse

The solar eclipse in England, both overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time.

An amazing moment in time - and there was no need for filters in the end to see the sun as the cloud cover (as predicted and as always expected) was almost total...

At least many of us will have seen an eclipse, for many the first, for most of us, the last, over England we will witness.

First an uncropped image, and the other a crop from a second image.

excellent, the topography of the moon is is really good in the 2nd shot.

Too cloudy here to see anything.

great shots, inspired me to put mine up.... in the vain of Clerks I wasn't even supposed to be here today. So wasn't as prepared as I would have liked..

I didn't prepare at all. Just put the bigma and a TC on and stood in the garden using LiveView...

as it stands used my 200MM and a ton of crop. anyway there up

You did well mate. The clouds did appear a little after when the sun was re-emerging allowing for viewing with the naked eye here too.
