doubt its legal to use and you can use Siri to send texts but I don't think its too bad an idea maybe install them along the motorways.

The problem with stuff like this is that it prevents passengers from being able to text.
I think anyone texting at the wheel should receive an instant ban and a £3000 fine. Texting is a shit load more dangerous than actually having a conversation. Whilst I also agree that using the phone hand held to the ear to have a conversation is bad, at least the driver in most cases is still looking at the road. Texting, the cunts have their heads down. You don't often see people texting whilst driving though however EVERY single fucking set of lights, some stupid cunt can NOT resist looking at their phone... and 99% of the time it's a fucking woman. Lights go red...face down. BEEEP... then they get all fucking angry about it.
Just make the penaltys Much harsher so caught then it's £1000 and 6 points caught twice then £5000 and 6 3rd strike jail and 5year driving ban

ive always thought some sort of device linked to the drivers phone number or IMEI number could be invented - granted you would have to have some sort of UI to let the device know who is driving, but the device kills all outgoing data when you get within a certain distance of the car or inside the car - or puts it into airplane mode automatically for the duration of the drive (linked to the ignition?)
like all current laws - until the police actually make full use of the current laws, there's little point in actually changing the current system.
personally i think that all those that do break the traffic laws do so willingly and will continue to do so as the probability of being caught is so low, increase the chances of getting caught and that will reduce the incidences of offenses taking place.
take speeding - most of us have been known to break the speed limit at some point, most of the time it was willingly and most of the time it was on a road where we know there is little enforcement taking place
I hate it when I'm walking about and people have their faces buried in their phones, no doubt checking and updating facebook, as they walk along and not looking where the fuck they are walking. It's got to the point I just stand my ground in front of the cunts.
i`d just teach common sense
Or this idea could end up like the current situation.
Back in the old days your phone would ring and you would pick it up (or decide not to).
When Bluetooth works it is nice. But I'm fed up of the amount of times I've answered silence which then distracts me even further as I try to figure out what's going on and whether there is any way of me actually getting the call.
Imo laws don't work!
i live in Devon and I see probably one police car a week if that.
we have friends who are police officers and to say they are overstretched is an understatement.
You could rob a bank here and wouldn't see police respond for 30 mins.
our police station is now unmanned so if there's a crime you want to report you have to travel 20 minutes to the next town.
so trying to enforce any laws with no staff is near impossible at best.
i just video the twats (well the wife does) that seems to scare them.

Im off to Devon to pay a bank a nice visit...30 min start I'll take my chances ...Promise not to text in my getaway car. Thanks for the info TJ.
Pretty sick of being stuck behind cunts who spend more time looking at their laps than ahead
90% of the time its women, did they just grow a cock? Or aspire to become one
I just honk the ignorant cunts pointing at my eyes then the road ahead until they stop
Might make one and take it down Oxford street for a laugh.
