Just use enough water to cover your vegetables, the same goes for when you're having a bath....
I've sent some money over too, I'll try to do it monthly if possible.

Guys,
Thanks you very much for the responses; I will be counting up all the bits I have tonight and working out where I am up to; basically with the cash I have, the very generous donations of cash and Pi's from here I am sure I have enough to build the proof of concept scanner to get the hardware and software all singing together.
I expect this to take me 2 weeks to get running, after that is quite allot of config work I suspect to tweak camera setup, layout, wiring etc.
When I get to the test build I will start a thread in the Raspberry Pi forum to keep track on progress.
In other news I think I have picked my next recipient to make a device for, subject to confirmation its for a boy in london who has no wrist, only half a forearm.
This will require a hand that is controlled with elbow movement; a more difficult build that looks like a good challenge.
I am also working with Stephen my last recipient to get him kitted out with his printer etc to get him going; I managed to secure a 5% discount for him so thats not a bad start either.
Stephen has already provided some great feedback on the current design (feedback you just don't get from a kid) so we will be joining forces to move the design on for both him and the rest of the e-NABLE community.
The last time I has this much fun was when I was using my elvis programmer ;-)

Thought about speaking to the British legion or army? I'm sure there's plenty of people that could benefit and maybe a collaboration with someone/something putting funding and anotomical experience into it that could take to another level.
blacksheep I am looking at a few options at the moment, will post back when I have more details.
Started getting organised today for build of the proof of concept, still got a few more bits to pick up

Guys,
Just an update on this, I am still working on the scanner and several other 3d printed hand projects.
I now have Facebook page - please like and share the Facebook page to raise awareness etc.
Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/teamunlimbited
Blog location (linked from FB page) - http://www.murraycs.co.uk/e-nableblog/
I did some scans with a basic version of the scanner i.e. manually taking the pictures individually; I have attached a picture of the results - quite good

Will be writing stuff up over the next few weeks; thanks for all your support.

Yep, well I helped with that one. I have teamed up with one of my recipients under the name team unlimbited. That video was for his recipient but we both worked on the build.
