But will developers pick it up, that be the million dollar question! Microsoft may not have talked much about Android apps on Windows 10, but the company is certain contemplating such a possibility.
And according to unofficial reports, close to making a decision.

However, there is more than one way to approach this. And that does not include baking native support for Android applications on Windows. Instead, this handy new way makes it a lot easier for developers to launch their apps on the Windows platform.

As noted, Visual Studio 2015 comes with options to create what Microsoft calls “multi-device hybrid apps using C#”. Not the liveliest of names, but hey, if it works!
And it does work.

Basically, this feature allows creation of applications designed to work on one platform, with the option of porting to another with the simple press of a button. So if developers are creating their apps for Android and iOS, they will have the streamlined ability to port them to Windows 10.

Without necessitating the need for additional resources.

Obviously, it all comes down to whether developers pick this way up, but this at least clears one big hurdle, that being the need for additional resources to developer for the Windows platform.
The small market share of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 being another.

Let’s see.
