New Nintendo NES Homebrew 'Star Versus' Released On Cart
Just weeks after their initial announcement, Studio Dustmop have released their very first Nintendo NEShomebrew on physical cartridge. Star Versus is the latest title to hit the 8-bit system, one mixing a unique blend of shoot-em-up action with a hint of intergalactic brawling.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Geometry Wars and Asteroids, this all new release puts you in control of a 360 degree travelling spacecraft thrown into fierce one-on-one battles with other starships. Instead of just providing you with the standard projectiles, Star Versus gifts you the ability to strike down opponents with a space sword, blast them into smithereens with bombs, and also strafe around what remains.
This impressive looking fast paced homebrew title is now available to buy on cartridge, coming with its very own manual too. Costing just $40 (not including postage), those after something new for the Nintendo NES need look no further. It's worth noting, however, that this shooter has been designed for NTSC consoles and is not guaranteed to work on clone systems such as the RetroN5.
