Going a bit too far here, aren’t we? A new Windows 10 concept is making the rounds, one that puts the Stat Menu at the heart of everything. Impossible to see Microsoft trying something like this.

But hey, designers are free to envision anything!

And DeviantArt user wwsalmon has done exact that, bundling the System Tray right in the Start Menu to create something that is awfully familiar yet alien at the same time. It does make the left side of the screen rather redundant, but there you go.

One destination for everything in Windows 10, the Start Menu:

It very much makes use of Charms here.

The Charms bar was one of the first features from Windows 8.1 that was removed in this new operating system, but this concept integrates them directly into the Start Menu, allowing the possibility of accessing every single setting and option from a single location on the screen.

To be honest, it does make getting around the OS difficult, what with everything bundle in one place.

Plus factoring in the issue that most users really don’t want to relearn how to use an operating system, or actually do not want to spend time doing so, and you get the drift.

Still, Microsoft plans on making the Start Menu in Windows 10 much more robust, and the company could theoretically take a pointer or two from this concept.

What do you guys think of it?

Too extreme?
