Priced up from Scan and it comes to £286 for the average Joe on the street - others may come along and say they can get them cheaper, but not that much cheaper really.

£260 delivered all in and already built is very good.

This is one of the reasons I got out of PC building for profit years ago - just no money in it any more.

For what your mates need it for, it represents very good value indeed. It will deffo cover all their requirements.

I know you said no gaming, but look what the CPU and graphics are capable of:

good spec for the price, no hassle to build it for them, strait out the box.
i think that board can use upto 2gb of the ram for the graphics if you wish for gaming.
by the time you buy the bits its just not worth the price & hassle to build at that sort of spec.
if they where going higher spec then i would al lways build my own.

the problem is that there is no real Trade Pricing for the local computer shop(you & Jo Bloggs can buy @ the same pricing as Most of the PC Shops), there aint any profit in doing that sort of build these days, i have been running a shop for nearly 25 years, long gone are the days of us making basic PC's
& making a profit, i tend to buy in for the average silver web surfer the Zoostorm Machines, really cheap But Gaming Machines i will build to there spec.

yep if they wanted something more id make it for them, but for the money you'd struggle to find anything better pre built for that price

just update on this , set it up today was well put together, cables pretty tidy etc and was up and running with no issues other than had to install using usb2.0 via zalman until OS was on and then driver disc

blooming good spec for the money and well worth it for anyone wanting to upgrade from an older base unit
