I'm really happy with the progress being made with drone tech and the downward trajectory on pricing. Once they're around the £300 mark I will probably take the plunge.

P.S Drones seem to be the equivalent of 3D printing... an old technology being re-branded and made insanely popular. For us old farts that have been flying RC planes and copters for the best part of two decades, I'm not impressed

Awesome update for a fine piece of kit.

im sat on 1.6 firmware seeing all the horror stories i not sure if i dare update, though this new feature is 1 good reason to update.

In most cases (e.g flyaways, non operator fault crashes etc..) DJI will repair the drone. Everything is tracked in log files plus video footage so it's easy to prove if your machine goes apeshit and crashes.
