On the London Pride (Saxifraga x urbium) flower stalk, which when seen this close has lots of sticky nodules on it, was a small wasp mimic or sawfly - someone will confirm I'm sure if I don't find an ID myself. Hard because of the size, the black colour (tough to get right) and the harsh sunlight creating deep shadows, all aided and abetted by a gusting breeze, meant getting this was not so easy, but worth the effort in the end I think. A blip of fill in flash for the blacks to get the detail (-3EV on the gun). Couple of different angles by an inch or two, and an alternate crop too.
