Yeah can have 4 , 2 lines be needed for it then I take it two watch and record on one at same time if they were both non fta channels?

Yeah seen the blue skin looks pretty good

Yes if it's a twin tuner box and you are recording one scrambled channel and watching another scrambled channel that would be 2 lines used.
I recently had a look around for IPTV prices and couldn't see anyone offering the major channels for £5 a month If you can get IPTV that's got Sly for that price that's pretty good. I'm wondering though if all channels are available like Disney, Nick Jnr etc for the kids.

I still believe £10 a year for CS is unbeatable and the box can still be used for IPTV if that's the future
Sorry, mate. I don't remember any 'arguments' we've had in the past.

£10 for CS is good, I will agree. If only for BT Sports in HD.

And I agree... An enigma 2 box can be used for IPTV. I have been meaning to try it on my box to check the quality. I don't think it's as user friendly as a MAG250 though. Or via plex or kodi.

I'd personally, still pick up an IPTV box. More choice of channels. No dish. Easy setup.

IPTV has moved on substantially in a year.

However, you aren't going to find a sky like experience with it. No twin tuner recording etc. No interface like Sky. It is very basic in it's look.

Can't you get boxes that do both tuner and iptv?

I'd be inclined to get a sat tuner card for a pc that would let you do both?

An Enigma 2 box can do IPTV. But it's a little more basic, I believe.

I have an Enigma 2 box VU + Duo which I was using for CS. I will be honest though it was awful at IPTV and crashed a lot (very clunky and slow to respond too) which is why I went and got one of those M8 Android IPTV boxes. Much, much better if it's IPTV you want.

    Thanks to piggzy

I had a MAG250 originally. But got rid of it as I wasn't going to be paying £30 a month for a sub.

I dipped my toe back in a year later using a NOWTV box and plex. I now have a ROKU 3.

    Thanks to Geko

I use an ATV3 at home. My folks have a minix 7 mini in Spain.

Neither of which compare to a stb style box imo, but do the job so I guess it depends on taste.

Minix runs android kitkat and all the usual associated apps. In my experience iptv links for such platforms last consistently less time than cs ones did. If you are prepared to fuck about all the time then iptv is fine. If u have a good cs server then that maybe better, for the time being at least.

Because both have + and - is why I am surprised a decent dual tuner and ip box doesn't exist...

Are you going stream hunting or subscribing to a server?

I subscribe to a server and they have their own private streams and pay others for their private streams. These don't go down. #

I have fucked around less with IPTV as I don't need to reposition my disk after gale force wind and I don't need to rescan when a channel moves.
