I posted in this thread and I never come into this section. Not because I love apple or anything else, just because I had a pic I wanted to share. I think that was the idea of the thread and for me it worked.

well, theres some ok pictures here, but as I pointed out before, we do have a thread (a sticky at that) that's been running for years already thats perfect for your pictures. Unless this one gets stickied, within a few weeks this thread and your photos are going to be lost to the vaults of the threads beyond page 1.

Many people who don't regularly post in the photography section think of it as a little club. An exclusive club at that so surely any thread which encourages more "ordinary" traffic to the section is surely a good thing right?

If it fizzled out and ends up drifting off page 1 so be it but it has to be worth a shot.

Someone who otherwise wouldn't have been here might take a look around threads they wouldn't normally look at and it might spark a new hobby for someone, new kit, new regular poster etc. I can't see any negatives if I'm honest :-)

That's why it was iPhone 6 ONLY. And not a 'what's your opinion on the apple pictures'.

Being specific like that will mean it won't have as many pictures, less likely to be lost beyond first few pages, have less off topic crap in it and bring out members and pictures that wouldn't normally be seen.

If you want to have threads about other phones, discussions about apples world photos or moan about anything else then start your own threads. That's the point of forums.

I only chose the iPhone 6 as it's the handset I have and the world photos examples were used for.
