iPhone 6 ONLY!

I invite those who have this phone to post some of their pictures.

The camera is hyped to be one of the best mobile cameras ever so coupled with the photographers on here I am expecting some top notch pictures.

Im sure I am not the only one who has cast their dedicated compacts in a drawer after getting a new iPhone...

That's fine, post them up anyway just detail the PS mods you used and maybe why. After all, ppl shoot pics on top end DSLR cameras and still play about in PS with them. Mostly, IMO, overcooking them... The iOS 8.3 camera app has loads of tweaks built in, so much so I've not used PS for a while for general use.

those IP6 photos could have been shot on almost any camera, its the fact the photographer is good that the photos are good (now there's logic).

Give the average person 7 grand of top end Nikon DSLR, or an iphone4, basically same shits gonna come out.

bang on m8, years ago i won a top canon DSLR with lenses - as a photographer i would make a good plumber!!
all my pictures are crap, just looking at my 'snaps' you cant tell if i took them with the canon or with my kids olympus c-60 compact as they are equally rubbish!

Not sure I agree with you either. Pretty sure that modern cameras do a lot of the work making amateur photographers out of anyone. I understand a good photographer can take a good photo with any camera, but the purpose of this thread was to get people to show some of their photos taken with the high quality camera already in their pocket.

The fact that their are some members on here that are good photographers as I said should mean that there should be some good photos shown, on a par with the apple ones linked in the OP.

well, not really, the fact is those examples are beautiful because the photographer is experienced and knows how to compose a shot, knows where to be at the right time and how to direct subjects if needed, the camera can give good tonality, can whip off 10 shots per second or whatever but little of that helps you make good photography, it can make good photography easier but you need to know fundamentals before you can do shit. We saw exactly the same thing with the iphone 5, 5s, 4 and 3 if i recall. As for shitting on the thread, well, there's a thread for phone photography already and to me, that makes more sense than a dedicated one for the latest apple device that'll be obsolete in 5 minutes anyway when they announce the iphone 7 with a new camera that gives amazing results...

Totally missed the point I think. Like I said all I was doing was trying to start a thread that would draw a few posts and get people sharing pictures from their Iphones. Pictures that otherwise may not be posted in the main photos threads. I wasn't after a discussion about photographer skills, camera opinions or starting an apple war.

Ill know for next time before posting here.

The link in the OP was purely to show what the iPhone camera can do.

I know i'm carrying on with the off topic stuff but i agree with both of you. The photographer has a major effect on the image but then again i've seen some great shots from friends 6's and they are good quality. So here's the rub... lets see some good quality, well composed photos in here.

Its the subject matter not the shitting iphone 6 and how good the camera is.

They could have been just as easily taken on any other decent spec phone. The time lapse I'm calling BS on, the phone is obviously on a tripod to capture it that steady.

Not trying to piss on the thread dj but apple are so far up their own arse it's a joke.
