    Default Car Jacking Help Walsall

Hi all ... This morning my gf was on her way to taking the kids to school when a old green Vauxhall Astra reg R62 YDM pulled up behind her and attempted to drag her from the car , my 14 year old son was in with her as well as my 18 month old son in the car seat, my 14 year old son tried to stop what was happening to his mom and is now in hospital after being kicked and punched in the head, he is black and blue and she has marks over her from being pulled from the car .

The only reason we can see why they didn't carry on is because our son was in the rear of the car in a baby seat, the police have been informed but said as there is no witness blah blah so it just goes on computer, I've just finished talking to my gf who has gave the reg to the police but wondered if I could get and address from the car reg for some proper justice.

I don't normally get upset but the state of my sons face and my wife's body is disgraceful and has pushed me to far ... if anyone can help

Don't know how to do what your asking but sounds awful and hope everyone recovers ok. Wouldn't be surprised if your wife will want to stop driving all together after that!

Fucking terrible, hope someone can help out maybe trace the owner for you. Use checkmid to see if it's insured?

Fucking scumbags. Hope you get this sorted. I'd like to think in a legal and proper way, but my confidence in the justice service is very small. And don't get me started on the self serving police...

try it and be calm, but I doubt I'd be if it happened to me.

hope the family gets through it, wothout further pain and upset.

V888 from DVLA is your best bet, with an obviously tweaked justification.

It was by the football ground in Wallows lane... the whole family have combed the area looking for the bastard but no good , my son has to stop in hospital for spinal injuries and bruising but the ct scan came back ok , the missus is in bits and cant stop crying and shaking and has ordered me to get rid of the car ? The only consolation to it all is the little one slept through bless.

If I could only have my 2 minutes I'd turn there world upside down like they have mine ... im devastated feeling like I cant do nothing but thanks for the support... If anyone can link the reg to an address please please pm me. b3

    Thanks to big3card

I'm sorry this has happened to your wife and kids. The job of reversing VRN is surely in the hands of the Police?

As bigbrand mentions there is a way to request the info, but the only lawful grounds are principally parking problems.

Every lookup is audited . The fact the VRN and your request is posted in a open forum leaves a big fat trail to whoever does the look up for you.

If the police are ignoring you go to the counter of your local old bill and ask to see the inspector or most senior officer there and make a formal complaint.

Awful news. Really hope everyone is OK.

I had this happen to me when I was 18 in Slough High Street (where Blockbuster used to be if anyone knows the area). A big dude comes to my window asking for a light, next thing I know he's pressed knife to my cheek, opens my door and tries to get me out the drivers seat. I pushed him off and managed to close and lock the door. Being in a shitbox Vauxhall Nova I had two keys, one for the ignition and one for the doors, guess which one I was trying in the ignition in my panic. By this time he's trying to kick the door window in, fortunately I got the car started and was off. Shook me up no end! My mum and dad were on holiday at the time and Geko's mum kindly took me in and called the police who then tried blaming me saying I must have provoked him, thanks guys!

I know what she means about getting rid of the car. I turned into a bit of recluse and was scared to go out in case my car got recognised.
For about 6 months after that I was really careful where I went and parked.

I know it's hard as you are probably fuming and want to hand out some ghetto justice but let the police handle it from here. You'll end up in more trouble than he does if you give him a good hiding.

    Thanks to beerman

This kind of thing makes me appreciate the self locking doors newer cars are fitted with, might have to make sure the next car the missus gets has them too. I hope you and your family are ok and justice is served, never had much faith in the police tbh, they seem more interested in making money from motorists nowdays.

Bastards. Glad your missus and the nippers are (comparatively) OK and especially that CT scan came back OK.
Slowly slowly catchy monkey. Take JonEp's advice and push it with the Police.

Guessing she was stopped at traffic lights, no cam footage? Mind if I ask what car you've got that someone's trying to carjack? Or don't want to insinuate anything but do you brush up against any less than reputable folk and annoyed anyone?

My car is an Audi A4 2.0tdi 12 plate... its nothing special, she turned from a road that borders factorys laid back behind trees as she puls from this street there in her mirrors flashing lights a driving close , she pulls over to the left to give way and they force her over more otherwise she said they would have hit her , why her eyes were in the passenger side mirror she said one must have dived out from the rear of the astra and went for the door then pulling her from the car with the seatbelt on , my son got out to protect her when another man stepped from the car and attacked my son , they both then set about him as my missus got from the floor she hit one of them and shouted about the baby being in the rear of the car before they took of in the astra ...

That just sounds weird as fuck - 1 guy you could think maybe rape (sorry don't want your mind to go overtime) but 2 sounds like a shitty snatch and grab by real amateurs. Suprised the cops aren't making more of this - ask to speak to the duty inspector and try get it bumped up the chain.

fair play to your lad though, hope he's not too badly hurt but he's gonna have a brill tale to tell to his mates/the ladies.

This, really. This is the sort of horrible incident you hear on local news even.
