Default Bosses van vandalised with a axe! Where does he stand??

Hi lads. My boss was doing a removal job for a lady.turns out shes leaving her abusive partner.

And near the end of the job, her boyfriend appears in a car with a axe.

Gets out and goes mental.. smashes van, tries whacking my boss.

Now the blokes been caught. And Charged.

My boss is obviously worried that the claim will affect plus cost him. Through his insurance.

Anyone know what usually happens. And any advice i can pass on.

If he has been caught and charged, won't the court make him pay for the damage?

He can probably also make a claim against his insurance as well. Seeing as he has a motor, is insured, and it was a proven motoring offence... Road rage?

They can put an order in for the damages, whether he'll see it or not is another thing. Twice I've had vehicles criminally damaged and the criminal caught and I've put costs orders in but never seen a penny. The court orders them to pay but they just don't.

This was my thinking.. that a person that does things like this. Usually doesnt have the funds to pay for this.

He's going through the insurers as we speak. But its gna be slow.

And untill then hes having to hire a Van. At his expense. So its all a mess.

He's got the address, leave it a few months if nothing comes of it and the insurance cripples him. Pop back mob handed and give him a reason to have to call out Zenith Double Glazing Windows.

    Window for a window.

Just for good measure, take an axe and some brake fluid to his vehicle. Cunt!

Looks a write off to me. Although that doesnt help if the bloke cant pay. Regardless what the court says it looks like.

She was ugly. We do removals. And he was just a innocent person. Cought up in someones problem.

To be fair as much as that would be great. We also work for a charity. Any blemish on his record, would end that contract.
