    Default Elephone P6000

My phone just died after getting slightly wet in the rain (piss poor) now digitizer is all over the place so anyway decided to order a new phone so ordered:

    http://www.elephone.hk/P6000.html

Nowhere near is good spec as the flagship P7000 but didnt want to spend too much and at £80 I thought it still looked good.

Should be here in a week (they were doing DHL delivery for about £8) will give a review when I have it if anyone is interested.

    Cheers

    Thanks to piggzy

    Yes please, review away.

Interested to know what these 720p screens are like.

Any of you get stung for tax/duty on these? And who did you order from?

Will review as soon as it arrives. Due to bank holiday I reckon it will be about 10 days.
Ordered from AliExpress and out of all my china orders (which has been fuck loads.. well over 50 items from both AliExpress and Fleabay) I think I have been stung once maybe twice for tax charges and that only happens with DHL.
Which to my annoyance I just remembered I paid extra for DHL delivery on this very fucking item. fuck fuck fuck

Oh well. Last charge was under £20 on an item costing £200 so it still works out worth it.

Saw the same review as you ilscuro and that was what convinced me.

Haha (sorry not laughing at you) DHL (I believe it was anyway) deliver first then bill you. I got something delivered to work, just ignored the letter asking if personal or not.

wonder why China is different as everything I get from the states gets done - probably just Royal Mail after their extortionate handling fee which is often more than the item. Can't remember which electronics online shop has no UK stock they just ship from the U.S. but I was after something costing 20p and p+p was something like £15

I bought a spoiler on ebay which got to me from Taiwan in 6 days. I the get a bill from Fedex asking for the £5.71 duty they paid and a £12 admin fee. Phoned them up and said i'm happy to pay the duty but not their admin fee as i didn't ask them to do anything. They waved the admin fee.

    Thanks to beerman

    http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/...wuY29tfDI1OTA=

    $172.99 with the code : GBMAS7

4G, Lollipop etc... Looks like a very good deal?

I know I've mentioned it before but that IMX135 sensor is considered last gen. The 214 (Elephone P7000 etc) is supposed to be greatly superior.

That's just MY thoughts/opinion though mate. My handset is a camera first and phone second. I take hundreds of photos a week (the new Google Photos unlimited storage is a God send) so the sensor is important to me.
Looks a good deal though. What, £120 with the promo code?
I'd personally be looking at the P7000 for a few more quid. Bigger battery, 1080 screen and better camera.

    Thanks to Zoots

OK Here it .. Phone arrived Monday (but been away till now).

Anyhoo so far I love it.
It is very fast, so far everything I have done is instant, I know this is much lower spec than the P7000 but everything I have done so far is instant so for me its fine. Camera is very good much better than my last phone, again taking pics is also instant, I used to get a bit of lag/delay on old one. Thought I would try out the 4G/LTE on the phone and although it is crap coverage in my area outdoors it picked it up almost all of the time but indoors would drop down to 3G.

Phone feels very well made and sturdy and shows no signs of bending and I don't think it would tbh, it really is solid.
Android 5 is very smooth and fast, my last phone was android 4.2 so either the spec of the phone or Android 5 being tonnes better or combination but it seems to be much smoother.
I don't bother gaming on a mobile (apart from chess) so can't really review that side.
Touch screen is very responsive and VERY accurate not cocked up once yet.

My verdict at £80 odd delivered it is an excellent bargain. Highly recommend. Compared to what you can get for £80 handset wise in this country it hands down is a no brainer.

Only downside was the delivery. Paid extra for DHL 3-7 days..... My arse 3-7 days and on top of that I was out so the cunt of a driver decided to sign it himself and leave it propped up against my front door in full view. I was lucky it was still there.
I have had stuff delivered from HongKong on the free SLOOOW postage come just as quick as this did.

    3 Thanks given to piggzy

Great to read this mate. As you probably know I bought (well, paid for) the P7000 a few weeks ago so I'm happy to hear that the elephone build quality is good. No shipping email for mine yet either and I chose the cheapo shipping method, so two or three weeks after it has been sent out I will receive it. What else came in the box - any goodies?

OK was visiting family daaan saaarf so took a few shots. Bear in mind I am not into photography AT ALL unless I see a couple of dogs shagging or maybe a tree that resembles a cock and bollocks.

Here goes. Samples of the Elephone P6000 in action

Crap.. this is the only one I could attach it said the others were too large ...
On my PC that look fucking good and that wasnt at the phones highest settings. I assumed it was but when I checked settings were at medium.

    Thanks to piggzy

Nice one. Looks to handle light well. The foreground hasn't gone pitch black when you've pointed at a bright sky.

Anyway overall I still love this phone and would recommend elephone as a brand to anyone so far. Deffo the P6000
