Default Power on Nexus 5 (lg d821) with no power button?

    Hey,

Power button has died on my phone, not uncommon apparently.

Anyway it's out of warranty, and I've too many bills right now to get another decent phone.

Anyone know of a way to power it on with no power button??

Pluging it on only charges it.

And yes, I did order a new switch but in lifting the old one 2 pads came away

    Ta

The nexus 5 has not been out for 2 years yet so should be covered by warranty.. my motherboard had to be replaced last week as kept failing when trying to flash the android system image.

My phone is 18 months old and carphonewarehouse sorted it free of charge.

    Thanks to andmor
