Default Hudl 2 or HP steam 7?

Missus is going to buy me a tablet on Friday so needs to be either available for purchase in store or can be delivered by the 19th of June as I'm away again. Thinking of either the hudl 2 (bigger screen) or the stream 7. Seen quite a few of you on here have the 7.

Any advice? I quite fancy a windows OS tablet...

The Stream is nice and it's nice to have that familiar folder structure and whatnot. For regular usability though, it'd have to be a touch screen system designed for a small screen. Win8 on a small screen - well, it's like RDP'ing into your PC from an tablet. It works, but the icons within the OS (beyond the home screen) aren't sized well for easy regular use IMO. I have to use a small stylus and even then it becomes tiresome.

Cant see your missus RDP'ing tho can you, for her type of thing windows store is up and coming.

Plenty of great free games on there all social media apps avail etc but will not be same level as Google Play.

I prefer windows to Android all day long tho ;-)

I have both, the Stream is great to fit a windows job, I use mine as an FTP server but little use as a tablet as it stands. The screen and icons are too small.

Grab an Android device like Hudi or Asus would be my advice.

Check you clubcard balance before you decide m8 as you get double points against the hudl 2 and there's usually some other voucher codes floating around for tesco to bring it down a bit more. I paid £77 for mine a couple of weeks back and I don't shop there often so I've heard some have paid considerably less.
Its fitted in well as a solid replacement for my iPad 1 imo doing everything I wanted to or used to do on the iPad and upgraded to HD and stereo now (apart from the TVGuide app cos the setting don't save on android for some reason grrrr) .
It comes with a fair bit of tesco bloatware and the battery life isn't the best with default settings but there's plenty of guides online to remove the bloatware and opitimise the settings for better battery life.
I was initially looking at the cube talk x9 and the teclast x98 thinking I needed more oomph but I'm quite happy with the power of the hudl2 now and think they'd have been overkill for what I actually use it for tbh.

    Thanks to Hippie on hill

Not as powerful as the one at currys, but half the price:

I've just ordered a Winbook TF802 from the States at £80. I have a HP 7 and I like it but it'll be handy with the Winbook as it has HDMI out

Totally agree with battery, however if you can live with recharging it quite often, it's not a bad tablet, colours not as bright as more expensive tablets, but overall its not too bad. Sound is loud, really loud.

It's a bit late but the Chuwi Hi8 looks an interesting device - cheap but pretty high spec and has a 1920x1200 screen - all for less than £70 + import fees from China.
