5c discharging like a mofo

The wife 5c discharges stupidly fast 4/5 hours I've changed the battery twice and the charging port twice too it's in good condition otherwise. Any ideas what to do next she's due to upgrade in December so could do with it mended if only for 5 months

Probably Faulty power ic or U2 can't remember chip names off top of head but around £40-60 so not worth doing imo, flog it, claim on any insurance or try get working board from mangled handset

Thx think I'll just use it as a fixed ipod just for the car then

Check for recent updates from the App Store. Could be one of them is shit and started draining it. My mrs has about three GPS apps running all the time and hers dies quickly cod she never closes them.

Good point Berty, I assumed that had been checked after he mentioned hardware swapping, knock off background refresh if it's active as no need for it , and check location services, auto brightness /email /Bluetooth are also big battery killers

Thx for all advice did a full reset on it gave it a 24hour charge and set it up as a new phone it lost 70% battery life in 5 hours on standbye so I think it's safe to say it's had it so I'm just gonna load it up with bare min and use it for car as an ipod

Always worth taking to the Apple Store for a bitch. Friend got a smashed screen replaced with a refurb (whole phone refurb) for like £79 or something.

been today for my apple watch so thought id take a punt with it ran loads of diags and according to apple theres nowt wrong with it and there isnt a fault with the 5 and 5c u2 charging ic quoted 199 to replace it

Shame - depends on who you get I think. Also if buying something else you'd think they'd help out.

They em seem to have gone downhill in customer service/support.
