So......
Who killed Casper?
Who was Casper?
Who was the grey-haired bent cop (Dixon?) who was killed in the shoot-out, and how did he play into everything?
Who were the two orphans and why did they want to kill the cops?
Who was running the brothel parties?
Who killed the mayor guy, and whose side was he on? Whose house was he at when he was killed?
How did the diamonds feature into all this? Whose were they? Where did they come from?
What happened to Ani's dad, and why was he in it anyway?
What happened to Woodrough's fiancee, mum and kid?
Having killed two of his pursuers effortlessly, why did Ray jump out in front of the other three?
Why did Frank, the criminal mastermind, allow himself to get jumped and killed by a bunch of characters who have only featured once, maybe twice?
As you've probably guessed, these are somewhat rhetorical questions. I lost track of the answers in episode 5.
True Detective has now surpassed Heroes Season 2 for me, with regards to a show's sudden and dramatic fall from grace. Let's hope that True Detective Season 3 holds up better.
