Wanted: cheap SSD drive - cash waiting.

I am looking for a decent priced/decent spec ssd drive, 240gb upwards, prefer new but would consider used if not too old. prefer good make but would also consider any other make depending on price.

I need this asap.

If not this looks like a decent deal, Crucial or Samsung would be my recommendation. Pretty sure OCZ went bust and a few models of their SSDs and their RAM had very high failure rates:

cheers stan, only reason I mentioned ocz was their warranty which they send out a replacement straight away soon as a hard drive has been verified knackered

You are right. Never knew but a quick google shows em going bankrupt about 18 months ago and being bought by Toshiba. Not had problems with OCZ kit myself but obviously lots did.

Although the article that I read did state since the Toshiba take over the reliability increased to now VERY reliable levels. Although I think they are now sold under a different brand name (I assume).

ACTUALLY if anyone fancies a swap, and they have a bigger ssd than 240gb, I'm willing to straight swap for my amazon kindle with 6000+ books pre installed, its the kindle fire hdx 7 and is still boxed like new and hardly been used.

it would have to be something pretty decent though to straight swap for my kindle
