    Info New Amazon Fire range

    Evening

Seen there's a new Amazon Fire range of tablets and tv devices.

Old Fire stick now comes with a voice remote.

New Fire Tv is 4k, 2gb ram, new processor

Kiddie Fire tablet now ha sd card slot (bought one of the old ones last month do slightly annoyed)

There's also a new 8 and 10 inch tabs and a budget huddl route model for 50 quid.

Struggling to find proper specs for the devices or comparisons to old models etc

Amazon's marketing is (intentionally) woeful when it comes to serving the tech crowd. They are trying to sell the whole immersive "amazon" experience which I'm sure is fine for non techies but the rest of us end up frustrated by the lack of real info. We end up being involved only when the product has failed and ends up on clearance deals...

I agree. I found out by news sites (Register etc..). I goto the Amazon UK store... nothing. I goto the USA store and it is a 'little' better.
I go back to the UK store and I had to search for the items to find them way down in a list of rubbish results.

Clearly marketing is not their strategy... I am interested in the new Fire TV box though. I have one of the old ones which is great plus a Fire TV stick in each other room with a TV plus one in a projector. I got them so cheap it was a no brainer.
I need another TV for one of the rooms and I might go down the 4k route, this will justify the new Amazon Fire TV then
