Attention Razorsharp Razor Blade Sharpener/ Cleaner - 1/2 price

    Courtesy of HUKD.

This seems to be the real deal, stellar rating on Amazon. I've just ordered one since I can barely stomach the cost of Gillette Fusion razorblades.. robbing cunts

It's early in the morning and i've just used a blunt gillette mach 3...so i've ordered one too.
If it works as good as the reviews say, it should be a good investment.

Apologies for being a boring middle aged fart (think I'm 25 still). I moved to dual edge razors a couple of years ago, the shave is superb and it's fairly manly taking a solid blade to your face without removing something important. Blades cost £10 for one hundred and last a while. Once you've found out what you like to use the outlay basically stops. I use a vulfix 401 brush and a variety of soaps, or cream if I fancy a change, and an Edwin Jagger razor.

Sorry to digress a bit, but it's worth a try.

I dedicate about a minute to my morning shave, simply because I'm always running late.

King of Shaves gel, bish-bash-bosh with the old Fusion and then some Nivea aftershave balm.

However I do like the sound of a more leisurely, pampered shave with all the accoutrements... because I am actually worth it

I've just ordered a dual edge razor, a variety of soaps and a badger brush to learn how to shave "properly". Always facinated me seeing my grandad using them when I was a nipper

I can have a two pass shave in about three minutes, less if I use cream. You'll honestly feel like the lord of shaving afterwards, initial learning knicks notwithstanding

The other thing about using a 5 blade monstrosity is that it fools you into thinking you can shave e.g I usually go against the grain for a quicker, closer shave. Since my dad has a beard, it wasn't one of those life lessons he was ever able to teach me

I suppose you could still use the five blade thing on your cock and balls
About 18 months ago I bought an old Gillette razor from America which has the date code U2 which means Q2 1974. When I was a bit keen on trying things out I bought it because people refer to them as a "birth razor" when it has the code that covers their birthday. Bert uses a straight razor I think, I've not got the balls to use one of those though.

I fucking hate shaving and am usually only pushed into when I make the Mrs fanny red raw from my manly man beard, even then it just gets a tidy back to being less Neanderthal and more craig david or in my case probably david bellamy.

I know what you are saying though if I do go for a shaving run which never lasts more than about 10 days I am always disgusted at the prices and how quickly they go blunt.

    Thanks to piggzy

If we're talking shaving products you must try Maca root shave cream from Body Shop. The lubricating properties of it are simply stunning, your razor will glide over your face. Need to do a bit again? Just rub the remnants that's on your face already over the face again and it's like you've just applied fresh.
Btw, I'm not Anita Roddick and have no financial interests in the Body Shop!
Ooh, ooh, ooh, the funky gibbon.

    Thanks to funkyg

KoS is the bollocks. Not only does the razor glide, but there is a lot less mess left in the sink that needs rinsing after.

However my skin is a pita, no matter what I use. Quickest I can shave without cutting myself is about 5 mins.

Then often I will come up in tiny spots for a few days after.

    Thanks to Over Carl

Save yourself even more money by using denim to sharpen your multiblade razors.
cut your old jeans into strips and stroke the razor backwards to to sharpen.
Can honestly say it lengthens the life of my razors

I read that, but then you have damp bits of denim moulding away in the bathroom which would drive my missus mad. The above is a more hygienic, aesthetically pleasing solution.

Once every 2 weeks I go to my barber who pampers me for 20 minutes. First he foams up my head and shaves it with a cut throat followed by the beard and goatee shaping. After that its a hot towel scrub and mint scented soothing cream all over.

    All for 13EUR a pop.

I use a single blade razor, with a badgers hair brush and bonds coconut shaving cream.
nothing better if done right, but takes time.
nice hot shower to moisturise the skin and soften the beard,
then plenty of hot water and lather.
the problem with shaving gels, is that they're cold out of the can and you need HEAT for a proper shave.

    Best shaving soap is "ARKO"
Put the soap stick put it in a small container zap for 30s in microwave , will last nearly a year even if you shave almost every day like me.. It's that good you can shave twice a day without your face looking like a pornstars gash after a weekend session..
