    Info Work in Israel

Got a bit of a dilemma

being asked to go out and work in Israel within the next two weeks if not sooner.

With the current situations around that area would you recommend it or avoid it?

Had to work there for a month about 10 years ago. My company provided constant protection and due to that I had no fears at all. All depends on your circumstances mate.

I found the Jews a pleasant bunch and my visit disproved much of the media bullshit tbh. Hope you like Hummus .

I previously worked for a company in tel-aviv. We were always informed that essential travel only.
I never got the opportunity to go but my managers who did go had to stay on site for security issues, as in sleep and eat.

I hope the money is good.. Make sure you get your life insurance in order and a will if required.

I wouldn't visit Israel, not for safety reasons but because I fundamentally disagree with their apartheid policies, blatant racism (towards Israeli Arabs and their own black citizens), bombing of schools and hospitals in the occupied territories etc..
It is a deeply unpleasant, militaristic country with very far right politics, however I have no problems with Israelis themselves.

I don't think you should forgive them at all, rather acknowledge that none of the people alive now had anything to do with it, if they ever did. Evidence from 2000 years ago ain't great.

It was the Jews and the Romans, but as the story goes the Romans were very reluctant to do it as they did not regard Jesus as a criminal.

The Romans were the ones who actually crucified Him (Matthew 27:27-37). Crucifixion was a Roman method of execut1on, authorized and carried out by the Romans under the authority of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who sentenced Jesus. Roman soldiers drove the nails into His hands and feet, Roman troops erected the cross and a Roman solider pierced His side (Matthew 27:27-35).

The people of Israel were also complicit in the death of Jesus. They were the ones who shouted, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” as He stood on trial before Pilate (Luke 23:21). They also cried for the thief Barabbas to be released instead of Jesus (Matthew 27:21). Peter confirmed this in Acts 2:22-23 when he told the men of Israel “you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified and put to death” Jesus of Nazareth. In fact the murder of Jesus was a conspiracy involving Rome, Herod, the Jewish leaders and the people of Israel, a diverse group of people who never worked together on anything before or since, but who came together this one time to plot and carry out the unthinkable – the murder of the son of God.
