Can anyone advise where I can get market trends on vhs analogue recorders?

Just wanted to know when the market peaked and how much money was involved and the markets current state.

Coukd also do do with knowing the same about vhs video cameras.

There are lots of companies that offer this sort of info such as 9d Research Group but they are VERY pricey (In the thousands!!)

If you want info on VHS then start with the company who invented it, pretty sure it was JVC. I doubt you will get what u are after easily but for such a business case the peaks ends usually 2 - 3 years after it is surpassed after new tech (DVD in this case) as there is usually a 2 - 3 year period as the majority of users migrate to new tech. Then after the 2 - 3 years the peak starts to swing towards the new tech.

However what cannot be quantified is piracy, even pirate videos were still on videos right? now its all web content so while DVD users have migrated to bluray, some may have just written off the ownership of media as a complete waste of time, space and money and either store on HD or just stream via web.

A lot has changed since VHS and representing a business model based on this concept in todays market lacks completeness and essentially relevance.
