Archos Video for fire stick?

Been looking for an app that plays videos from my nas and scrapes all the movie info. Came across Archos video and its exactly what I want on the tablet. However, I would like it on the fire stick too but when I install onto that it won't launch. Anybody know of an app that is the equivalent that will go on the fire stick?
I have Kodi on but as that has the black box on it, it often needs updating and I lose the source for my videos. (Bit of a pain setting it up every time).

Never tried it but I'm under the impression you need a server running which my nas (wd my cloud) doesn't support. I can't justify leaving the PC on 24/7.
