Retriving Saved Passwords from IE / Edge
I realised that using the same username and password for every site isn't the cleverest thing to do, especially in light of all the recent hacks.
However I'm too stupid to use a password manager so I just let my browser save the details for future logins (computer is only ever used by me so no risk of anyone else logging into my pc then gaining access to all my accounts).
I've been using Edge recently and needed to retrieve a password I had saved and forgotten so I thought I would try my old trick - it worked with a slight modification.
If you download Cain and Abel, it has a function under decoders for IE7/8/9 passwords which I remember used to work nicely. To get my saved passwords from Edge, instead I used the Credential Manager tool under decoders, and that listed all my logins.
Just thought I would post this in case it helps anyone else.
