Help USB A to A OTG/Host Cable. Is it possible?

I've got an Android Box that requires flashing and I'm told it needs to be done using PhoenixUSBPro.
I have all the programs and firmware, but connecting the box to a PC is a PiTA.

It does not have any mini USB slot on the box. Just Female USB Slots for adding Keyboards/Mice etc.

Now by this video I've managed to get from the seller I bought it from (nice and chinese), it looks like its a USB A to A OTG cable. Am I right?

    Video - From 1m 10s

Picture of that side of the box he has the USB plugged into - USB A

I'm also aware that this firmware for this box - AT-758 - Allwinner A20 is like rocking horse shit. I would have preferred a file I could flash from Android recovery from a USB drive, but the Chinese in all their wisdom gave me this information instead.

Any clues guys? Need this Android TV Box working again.

I'm happy to bodge up a USB Cable just for this if anyone can help... Hence in this section. Only need to use it once!

ive not done it myself yet but i dont know if the procedure is the same but have you tried putting the firmware on a sd card thats formatted in fat 32 insert it in the slot - if there is a av socket get something like a tooth pick and press the rest button and hold - connect the hdmi cable and connect the power lead with the reset button still pressed in until you see the recovery mode then let go of the reset button and choose install from ext drive / sd card

PhoenixCard is different. Tried that, but no dice. I only have the firmware in .IMG format and need to use PhoenixUSBPro.
If I can the rest of the files, it would update by card, but those files are like rocking horse shit. The Android box is an XGody AT-758 (Amlogic S805). If that helps.

The reset button is underneath on this thing, but like I mentioned, for that you need a uboot.bin and aml/sml files along with the IMG.

It's done with an A-A USB, that I guess would be a OTG at one to make the Box hostable maybe?

EDIT - Just ordered a USB Male A-A Cable from Maplins for a £1. See if that does the trick.
