I still miss Breamy
However I haven't been on as much recently due to my tapatalk giving me bad gateway errors constantly. Like others have said and I barely use my laptop unless is work related.
Ipad and phone more and more
regardless, I still think you are all a bunch of cunts!

I think the fact d-f is still here after all these years is credit to the loyal members, moderators and especially the admin. I still regularly pop in, but have always been more of a reader than poster. Everything evolves and things have to stay relevant to the times, I was in my early 20's when I found here from posts on thoic, I'm now 40.
People change, the internet has changed in that time and forums now seem old fashioned, in this time where people want instant answers/ replies and access to other peoples lives.
From a personal point of view I do hope d-f continues for many years, but it is dwindling slowly, there is less and less activity on here.
There has been some great members, personalities and memories from here over the years and hopefully one day there will be a resurgence and forums become fashionable again.
Love DF, remember back to roughly when I first joined I think it was off of the back of the famous forum incident that caused carnage due to the espionage backstabbing. DF was is and always will be just a great place for decent folk to chat / discuss / post stuff that helps folk out and provokes thoughts about stuff lol
The banter is first class and it is a shame to see some of the more well known ones no longer here as discussed earlier and to those df'ers that are now looking down on us from their loft keyboards and monitors in the sky respect and good will to each and everyone of you.

i love DF, Its a great group of people, i have been here 11 years+ & on here day 7 days a week, really helpful bunch, i have helped where i could, i think the forum is still strong.
yes we are getting alot of idiots joining but we do get the odd diamond in a goats ass, not often but every now & then.
the tech side is the most common i view, i miss the photo comp.
& yes im a cunt like most of us but we are a nice type of cunt.
we will help when we can,
just wish i could afford to renew my VIP, but times are hard, one day i will be vip again but even with out vip it is still a great site,
Okay fine, someone has to say it... I miss marcode, psxgunman and tombott.
And if they knew how much I had to edit the autocorrect on iOS to type their usernames they would really feel wanted.

Interesting but perhaps flawed view - People watch TV in a very different way now they stream what they want when they want; Nagra3 as you call it is well and truly compromised but why should it be released ? What good would it do ? I mean what real good... its not the few that messed up last time it was the majority..
Forums are at the core a community; as people say things have moved on - yes FB is full of cr@p but its easy and self indulgent and what Gen Y kind of live for.
The underground is just a load of like minded coders who reside on groups far divorced from forums and somewhat overseas tbh the chipset on the latest Nagra is just a dual set of hardware that is open with a BD like any other Cam
Forums shouldn't perhaps rely on the next big thing but more the community of people as its they that matter
This place seems to have a good core community

We just need a thread with the title 'Xbox One hacked' and there will be a huge influx of new members

I bet a BAN Amnesty would liven things up . Ha ha imagine that. From some of what I have read here things would implode
I left a massive turd in the wrestling freaks section sometime last year and obviously no one has found it but it's had it's effect.

DF, HOTUKD, Ebay & Stocking Tease in that order. The rest of Tinternet can go do one.
DF is a place I'll always come back to, all other forums don't hold a candle to it.

@mr_spark
The N3 comment was tongue in cheek mate
What I kind of meant by the rest was that if there was some 'new thing' forums would fill up again without a doubt. Just look what happened when someone got Netflix working on a NowTV box.

I agree. I think there are a lot more readers than writers. I happen to be a writer. Even when there is no definite answer to a question I like to offer my opinion and/or advice.
For example, and lets pick a realistic/believable one, Let’s say piggzy posts saying that he’s finished with his long term boyfriend so he went down to his local gay bar last night to drown his sorrows, but ended up letting a complete stranger give him an anal creampie. His question being ‘do you think I should be worried?’ Based on what I have seen in the media in the last twenty years or so I could then offer my opinion that ‘yes he should’, and follow up with some practical advice which would be to make an appointment with his local sexual health clinic for a check-up, for his own piece of mind and definitely before he makes his arse available to anyone else.
I don’t have to know anything about a subject to get involved. Let’s say Mule posted asking if it’s ok to wear red shoes with a blue dress and black stockings. Although I know little about ladies fashion I could advise him to ask one of his transvestite friends that he hangs around with on Saturday nights and even get one of them to go clothes shopping with him to see if those particular colours suit him.
But that’s just me and my need to help where I can. Even when not at the keyboard I’m a bit of a blabber. Take last week when this guy walks across to me from his car to ask me for directions to Llanelli hospital which is 16 miles away. I took my time to fully explain each road name, every turn and even describe some recognisable landmarks, but being a bit of a blabber and an all-round helpful guy I went on to give him three alternative directions for getting there, just in case the direct route is blocked by an accident or something. By the time I had finished he had forgotten the first set of directions I had given him. (Some people are not very good at retaining information I guess). Anyway I started giving him the directions again, at which point he muttered something like “fuck my appointment with the brain tumour specialist I’m going home to lie down”. For a second or two I thought it was something I had said but I think he was happy with the help I had given him because as he got into his car he gave me a thumbs up. Well I think it was a thumbs up but I didn’t have my glasses on at the time.
Looking at the members who have read this thread it is only a small fraction of them that have voiced their opinion. Most of the time it’s the same members.
Although you need to know what you’re talking about when you offer directions to someone in the street, as you can see from the two examples above you don’t necessarily need to know anything about a subject to get involved in a thread on the forums. You could just get involved by pointing someone in the right direction for obtaining the information they need.
So what I say is take a leaf out of my book and get involved. (“>
