    Help Microsoft Wireless HDMI Display Adapter

    a friend of mine is looking at one of Microsoft Wireless HDMI Display Adapter
    for streaming from a pc(games) to a TV down stairs
    anyone got any experience with it.

    I've also been looking at this. The benefit over other mirroring devices is the ability to extend the desktop which is something I need but I cant find out whether you can rotate the extended display. I love the way current manufactures launch a product and give the bare minimal specs and info! As for gaming, the info I have managed to find says the gaming performance is not good due to lag.

    Took the plunge and ordered one off of Amazon for £36. It does exactly what I wanted, It allows me to extend the desktop and acts exactly like a hardwired display. I'm using it for slide shows and its fine, however video playback is slightly choppy.

    so if its slightly choppy it will be no good for gaming then?

    Nope, I wouldn't use it for gaming at the moment. For £36 though it's worth a punt and future firmware should improve the performance.
