Yep, definite upscale but very good PQ considering it was out last week. Winter Soldier is better, but would I call it shite? No.

Why? Because it had Iron Man, Black Widow and big explosions. That sums up Marvel for me. The other characters are just window-dressing to me.

awwww, I was really looking forward to this. I love winter soldier, and IMDB rates this better.......but maybe that's not the case then :crys

Mind you, I just watched Age of Ultron for the first time tonight, and I felt thoroughly, 'meh' about it.

I don't get the high votes on IMDb with these Marvel movies. They are ok, but the last few I've seen have been ordinary. And if anything the big set piece action scenes, which are every 2 minutes, just seem like filler to excuse a poor script.

Got bored of all the Marvel / DC shite with the first X-Men movie.... the only one I watched since was DeadPool.

All seems a bit over hyped to me.

There's some miserable fuckers on here. Along with The Winter Soldier, Civil War has a bit more substance to it and some fairly adult themes. However, it's a fucking comic book movie so don't be surprised that there's a lot of the aforementioned big action set pieces. The film makers still have to cater for their target demographic.

The one I watched was so devoid of any story line it had to introduce the worst marvel character ever created, Ant man, as a plot diversion. Add to that the desperate inclusion of Spider-Man, who, for some strange reason, is now living with Marisa Tomei instead of Sally Field. Wtf?

DeadPool didn't take itself seriously at all and that's why it works so well. One of the most enjoyable Marvel films of late.
