Also witnessed Nine inch nails being booted off after headbutting a fan !!!!

July 1987 I was only 10 and went to see genesis at Wembley with my dad.
It was the invisible touch tour and I remember every track like it was yesterday.
After that I was a raver and attended loads of events from 15 onwards so got to see so many live acts like prodigy.
dont remember much from these events though

1986 Wham! The Final at Wembley... I was 16 and not a Wham fan but mates had a spare because someone dropped out. I hate to say it but it was fucking EPIC! Went back to Wembley in 87 and 89 to see U2 and Simple Minds.

My first stadium gig was Pink Floyd on 8/8/88 but saw quite a few before that. Mostly at the Warehouse/Raiders in Preston. They had loads on in the early days, Play Dead and a few played that era at the Guild Hall like The Smiths and others. Followed New Model Army on a three of their tours between 86 and 89. Followed a couple of Wonderstuff tours and a Pop Will Eat Itself one but did a gig every other week up until middle of 89 when I discovered warehouse parties and had the best couple of years of my life musically. Last gig I did was The Stone Roses at Etihad and am off to the Chemical Brothers this week. Favourite live performances by bands I would say have been The Prodigy, NWA, Pink Floyd, Prince, Tackhead, Leftfield, Garbage and Jamiroquai.

The Clash, supported by Richard Hell Nov 1977. Awesome night. Saw them a few more times after that too. Loads of bands touring at that time regularly. Saw Siouxsie & the Banshees, Blondie, The Damned, Generation X, The Slits, Ramones and loads more. Every week there was a decent gig to go to.
The good old days of rebellious youth.
Not so much a band but my mum took me to a one day festival thing in Knebworth. Got to see Pink Floyd, Elton John and that sort of thing. None of it really my kind of music but still a good first gig I think
