I saw this reviewed in one magazine a bit ago, if you have the choice of taking the girlfriend to London, or buying one of these, buy the scanner, and take the girlfriend camping!
I have one, it covers 100khz to 1300 Mhz
(no ssb though)
If you are in to civil airband, you can also select the new 8.33 Mhz channel spacing.
US model has cellphone frequencies blocked out.
Im rather new to all this so its it good ?
and is it easy to use
Thanks so far
for the price and the size, I'd say yes. You will need to read the manual though, as inputting frequencies can be a little tedious. If you want to use an external antenna ie discone, you'll have to get a bnc-sma adaptor
Indeed, not a bad scanner for the price
Shop around, it has stayed at the same price for at least a year. If you have a bit more to spend, have a look at the Yuperteru MVT 7100
Hope this helps
Bill
Thanks for your help m8
forgot to ask, what do you want to listen to ?
Well i want cops ( but i think they hav gone digital now ) but planes and security people etc
should be no problem with them, what area do you live in as I may be able to help with some frequencies
Can i get cops or not ?
and i live in Chester
As long as the frequency they are using is not digital, if they have gone digital you will have no chance, do you know what frequency they operate on ?/
no aint got a clue mate, i was finkin of buyin an ebook type fing off ebay if thats anygood ?
Have a look at this link, you may save yourself some cash

Can this scanner pick them up ?
Yes, as long as the selected frequency is between 500 khz and 1300 Mhz (they are) and they are not using digital equipment
rite thats good news, now i gotta find one for sale :nowords: :|
Theres a x1 for sale on ebay if it helps... but it finishes 2morrow

Dear Firends,
it's 6 hours since i bought this beauty.I'm a flightsimmer and mainly i want to hear the airband. But i'm very dissapointed.I live in the centre of Glasgow and i can't hear nothing more than am-fm.I read the directions,i tried different configurations ,i tried all the frequencies i'm interested in, but i can't hear even the ATIS (129.575) which supposed to be a very strong signal.
Any ideas please?
Do i do something wrong?:splease
Thank you
