ruscal have you accessed the internet on it yet, if so is it fast.
Also did you get any extra cds, etc with the Hard Disk.
Cant wait for the UK release.
i just got the util disk for the hd which installed stuff to the memory card and it also had the updated dvd drivers on it ver 2.10 i think, with accessing the internet ive been using the ethernet to play thps3 online against ppl with optus@home cable here in aus fine but there is no browser software to surf webpages as yet but i think its coming out in japan soon.
Does anyone know when the Hard Drive and Ethernet Card is coming out in the UK.
I've heard May for the Linux kit, dunno if the hard disk/ethernet adapter are being relled on their own at the same time tho
Yeah, I've heard may for us here in Aus, and we get all our games and consoles at the same time as you in the UK, so I'd say you'll have it around May
Ruscal how much did you pay for you hard drive and ethernet card?
thx
350 aussie dollars 50 of that was for shipping, the actual unit was 19000 yen so convert that into whatever currency u like.
Well I live in the UK round London, and have a PAL PS2 and THPS3, I have spent a while figuring out how to get online and it was quite simple in the end the realy annoying thing was that when I got online there was not a single other person online line in the whole world out of 350 servers, if you go to www.thps3.com and click on how to get online it will tell you how to set up and the supported hardware, the Linksys 10/100 network adapter (USB100TX) is the most popular I bought a DLink which had very similar specs to that of the Dlink adapter supported but it didn't work so I would deffinately recommend getting one of the specified models. I play THPS3 online during lunch at work where I'm on a network with a router pointing to ADSL and it as simple as plugging to adapter into to PS2 and network point and giving to PS2 an IP address and gateway under the game and your online, I did manage to watch 3 others play online, way outclassed me, and the speed was perfect, it is possilbe to get online with the PS2 anywhere in the world, just read the official site on how to set up and do it quickly as I need to play someone, I go by the name SmIrnOff, if you want to ask me any questons fire away, I can also provide the adapters if you need them through Work, laterz
and the cost of the adapter is?
well I was gonna charge you £50 after marking up the price but I would be an asshole if I did that so if you go to www.linksys.co.uk and there linksys section then USB you will see the USB100TX ex VAT and Delivery for around £30 but you can haggle them down like I did if you like.....
but will this work with every game that you can play online??????
