Hi Darkstar,
Obviously acer are only supporting Win 8 you ould try driver from here http://drp.su/drivers/notebooks/?v=a...id=171487&l=en but I haven't got a Revo so cannot comment on their suitability hope you find some

Best way to do this is manually using PCIVendors Database.
We will need to know the USB 3 Hardware manufacturers Vendor ID.
To do this, go to Device Manager, Right Click the USB Device and goto Properties. Under Details, select Hardware ID's.
Post what VID/PID/REV details are in there and I'll help find the Driver for you.

Thank you both fir fast help
I use the DriverPack Solution tool daily and USB3 drivers are the only one it struggles with, even after installing all drivers there is an exclamation mark in Device Manager so I manually get the driver from the manufacturer and install.
I assume you are sorted now but if not lmk.

I had a nightmare getting windows 7 on one of these. Nearly gave up and gave the guy windows 8. But... I managed it. Just can't remember how.

Ive got Win7 on my RL80 and got Usb3 working. Im sure I kept all the drivers in a folder. I can take a look tomorrow as not near my revo. I think only the front 2 ports are usb3.
I would love to put an SSD in it but I dont think its a straight forward swap.

I assumed they were very similar to the RL70 as per this tear down guide, but could be wrong.

I put an SSd into my r3610 thinking it would make navigating menus in xbmc very snappy and it didn't make a great difference. I am using Marcus MQ skin though which might explain it...

Looks similar to the RL80 but no built in DVD drive, ill need to open again and take another look. Thanks for link Deja. Evilsatan my RL80 is my main PC, its pretty nippy once its booted up but its boots up time are embarrassing. It should be a lot quicker considering its an i3 processor. In fact my Revo 3700 boots W7 quicker. It doesn't matter too much for me as I never turn the RL80 off. I reckon its been designed for Windows 8 only, that's why it has its little niggles
I will acept the plonker hole heartedly must wear my glass more !!
all working much better thank you
