All of the Bios Bins that I have are 1 meg large. The Matrix will only take a 256k Bios image. I have heard that you can split the Bios image to fit on the Maxtix mod...Anyone know how? Wome clarification on this would be great

Happy to help you with this one sinse I also had same questions but this is totally easy...
First you need this program Wmilk.exe for the flashing.
http://www.warmcat.com/milksop/wmilk.exe
Now.. for the splitting of the images..
First there is a unofficial evox 2.5 bios made by superfro that are 256 images.
If you do not have that or want official evox images such as 2.4 then yes you need to split it.
Use winhex (or I did at least ..EASY)
http://www.winhex.com/winhex-e.zip
open winhex.exe goto File Manager..the SPlit..
Then tell it what .bin file you want to split.
Then tell it 256 KB (default is on BYTES change that to KB)
Then it will ask you where you want to save EACH 256K chunk.
Last.. take the last chunk (should be 4 of them)
and use that last chunk as your 2.4 256K bios.
THATS IT. easy.
thats really just it? hahaha shietz0r... easy shiznit
thanks dude you helped me out at the same time
Great!! I do have the Superfro Bios's that are 256k that use the Evox 2.5. I split the X-ecutor bios which was 1 meg but it only gave me 1 256k file and not 4 like you stated. Do you see any advantage in using Superfro's bios creation as opposed to the x-ecutor bios?
Thanks man...I bet a bunch more ppl will have these questions when they recieve their maxtix chips!!!
