I feel like I've swapped one dangerous habit for an even worse one.
I never smoked cigs, but I did use to smoke hookah pipes, using it as a way to wind down after a tough day at work. It went from a once in a while treat to a nightly occurrence where an evening wasn't complete without a mint or apple shisha, so I switched to vaping for my nicotine fix.
Initially it all went well, I would vape for about 10 minutes each night and that would be that. As I started discovering more flavours and critically 'sub-ohm vaping' I started vaping for longer and longer periods. With sub ohm vaping, you can easily go through 5 ml in a single sitting. So as I learnt more I switched to 100% VG and would lower the nicotine to 0 to 3 mg to allow me to continue chain vaping, which essentially meant I'd become addicted to the bloody thing.
The negative effects are becoming clear, disrupted sleep, waking up with headaches, mouth sores, spots etc.. and lets just say I'm no longer YouPorn's number one viewer from Switzerland And further out I am convinced that the epidemiological data will show that these things cause cancer.
Time to go cold turkey... I'm going to throw all my liquids in the bin and put my equipment in the loft (several hundred quid's worth), wish me luck folks.
