That's a heartbreaker. Couldn't tell if he was stupidly over the limit or not as the noise makes it sound fast!
id say sounds like doing around 40 when he hits
Why was it being filmed in the first place? Can't have been filming a car pull out of the side street.
Can only assume they heard the exhaust and wanted to film a drive-by?
The hatchback was in the wrong but from that video I am convinced that if the Lambo driver had been concentrating properly and sticking to the 30mph speed limit he should have seen the hatchback pulling out and been able to stop in time. I assume the brakes are pretty good on one of those. The hatchback didn't appear from nowhere at high speed from the side road. It was pulling out at what I see as normal pulling out from a give way speed. Unfortunately the driver hadn't seen the Lambo. What if it was a kid that had run out into the road. The limit is 30mph for a reason.
Braked too little and too late, probably due to lack of concentration, and then tried to go around it. Blame is 50-50 in my opinion. Wouldn't have happened if either one of the drivers had been driving with proper care and attention. (">
I'd call it 50-50 as well mate. When I used to drive about London, It wasn't uncommon for cars to pull out onto main roads (whilst looking the other way) in front of me because they would rely on you slowing down to avoid an accident.

If its the other cars fault, their insurance won't be happy.
Apparently according to the DM, this is the Lambo minutes before the crash... Click the link and it should take you to where the video is. It might be different footage.

Somebody rushes over to get the driver out, opens the door and realizes its left hand drive.
Seems like he had a hot girl in the passenger seat too.
yep i bet the other drivers insurance will try dodge out of some of the claim due to driver of lambo speed and these clips surfacing
I'd personally say it's the other cars fault as at the end of the day they pulled onto the road in front of another car.
It's amazing how much damage it did at that speed to the Lambo though - I hope they fare better in a full on crash at higher speeds!
It's going to be hard to prove the actual speed as if that has an uprated exhaust it's going to sound loud and fast even doing 15 miles an hour - admittedly it does sound like he got the revs up but it's going to be hard to prove as if the silencers are gone that could have been no speed at all!
They'd be able to guess at the speed by marking a couple of points on the clip and seeing how long it took it to get from A to B - just like speed cameras do - although because they're not proper timing marks I guess it may not be admissible in court.
The sad thing is I get cars pulling out in front of me just like this all the time these days - then usually when you give them the horn for almost causing an accident then love to slap the brakes on. Red rag to a bull when that happens! Driving safely is like playing a game of chess these days - you've got to be constantly thinking ten moves in front of what they're all doing.
Took them ages to get out. . .he was probably getting a blow job. . . .

On Monday I was on my way home and started indicating left to take the turn on to my street. As I slowed and started to turn I glanced in my near side mirror and noticed the car that was previously behind me was trying to UNDERTAKE me (no pavement)! I could not believe what I was seeing. I had to swerve to avoid him and he was still trying to get past. Not wanting to miss my turn I stopped and luckily the CUNT got back behind me leaving me room to make the turn.
I was shaking with adrenaline afterwards as I realised how close I was to having an accident and an incredible one at that. If I'd not looked in my mirror I would have turned in to this bell-end. What was he thinking? When a car in front indicates left, why would you even attempt to undertake it?!
I didn't see any brake lights on the Lambo till after the collision so I don't reckon he was aware he was going to hit him till it actually happened..
supe
If you pull into a lane of oncoming traffic it is your fault. Forget the Lambo and speed issue here, a car pulled out and he (Lambo driver) had nowhere to go. I have been in this situation before as the offender.
If he was going much slower he could have slammed the anchors on but that could have resulted in him crashing into the back of the turning car and then would have been the Lambo's fault.
Insurance companies will argue all day long. Just because other footage surfaces of him driving like a cock earlier it does not give them the authority to point the finger of blame and avoid the payout. They can review the footage all day long, fact is the other car pulled out into oncoming traffic. I am sorry but you are not going to miss a Lambo coming at you and if you thought it was coming at you too quickly you would stop.
Imagine if it was a motorbike... That turning car could have killed someone.
