Remove folder name prefix

Afternoon all,

Anyone know of any software that could remove a prefix from circa 200 folder names?

They're basically named 01 - folder namer, 02 - folder name 03 - folder name.

Want to remove the numbers from the start but keep the rest.

Any ideas?

Bulk Renamer can accomplish this. Takes a little working out, but you should be able to.

Having trouble swapping "_" in folder names for a space in some cases.

In bulk renamed go to the replace section and put _ as the target and a space in the second box. I've been using this tool to bulk remove illegal characters from files so they can upload to onedrive for business.

For all sorts for bulk renaming I use a free software called Bulk Rename Utility.

I've been using it for years and I'm more than satisfied with it. It is very complex but yet very simple to use:

Depending on your OS (linux or OS X) you can do this on the command line with the commands find and then either sed awk Perl or something like that. Actually an interview question that I used to use.
