Spider lovers.... - a Tegenaria Gigantea for you...

Lovely docile female - whenever she moved into the wrong position, I just guided her back to somewhere better. She climbed on my hands a half a dozen times and was very gentle with me!

I have re-homed her in my outhouse, at the opposite end to the big one that is living at the darkest farthest corner...

Venus lens, Yongnuo diffused flash, and the fangs were with a 12mm tube, 21mm tube, & 1.4x teleconverter...

amazing shots as always mate, why dont these things just run off when you stick a camera in their face?

1 thing to mention: "I have re-homed her in my outhouse, at the opposite end to the big one that is living at the darkest farthest corner..." - are you fookin serious? your inviting them in now?

on a serious note: the picture with the web coming out of its arse, does it come from the 2 spots on either side or from the 2 bits pointing down above them? just curious

I would invite all spiders to mine - they are wonderful camera fodder.

While most spiders have six spinnerets, some have two, four, or eight. They move independently and in concert. Most spinnerets are not simple structures with a single orifice producing a single thread, but highly complex structures of many microscopic spigots, each producing one filament.
