    Default Customers...

Every so often i like to vent my spleen about the lovely customers / clients i have.

Today is one of those days as i've had a beer or two.

So yesterday i get a call saying 'please help urgently my laptop won't start.' get to the customers house and after about 5 minutes realise the battery on the laptop is either kackered or shorting something out. Turn the laptop over and the battery catch is missing, someone at some stage has ripped it off. so manage to free the battery and reseat it, bingo, laptop fires up perfectly, customer uses it for 5 minutes and is happy after re-booting 2 or 3 times to confirm fault is fixed.

Get a call today saying since i 'repaired' their laptop it's worse then it was before i fixed it! how can it be worse/ It didn't even boot up. lol.

'The screen goes pink and it randomly copies and pastes things.' Eh?

so i have to go back and sort that out now.

    /rant

On a positive note, i did help fix a national radio dj's laptop this afternoon whilst she was on air.

Never under estimate the stupidity or greed of the general public.

I'm in the double glazing trade and have been chatting with others about how a £250 window comes with a 10 year guarantee but a £250k Rolls Royce only 3 years. Sometimes the industry/trade makes it worse for itself and customers expect a lot more for nothing.

The amount of piss a customer can take is flabbergasting!

"Yeah honest, it was working fine...I didn't break it".

    Had one last week....
A local old chap (80 year old) phoned.... not had internet for nearly a week been on phone to talk talk for hours they said it deffo not them blah blah....

Popped round, poor sod had been ripped off by a local company that charged him £380 for a "refurbished" laptop you could pick up off ebay for £100, they had even put linux on it the cunts...
I digress turns out he had inadvertently turned the wifi off via switch on front of lappy.. sorted him out but said don't worry about any money.. took me 5 mins

Chatted for a bit then he disappears and comes back with a bottle of 16 year old single malt for my trouble.. he is a retired whiskey exporter/importer lol

    Sweet ;-)
