Been playing this all weekend with the wife, feckin brilliant! put any music you like on a memory stick, bang it in your 360, got to 'get music' and your away. it makes up a custom video for you and you can play all modes of gameplay ( vs, co-op, time bomb, vocal fighters etc ) with your own music, in effect, making this infinite fun. already done a christmas songs memory stick! you also get scored on your own songs whitch goes toward your acheivements. only downside is there is no lyrics for your own music, we just blagged our way through most of it. the mics are amazing, lights flash to the music & the motion sensors are spot on, look a bit of a twunt spinning around and all that but it really does work well, for £40, its a bargain. screaming my way through Angel of Death by Slayer was a standout moment!!!

I dont really remember playing it, but my friends reported that it wasn't a patch on singstar, I suspect that is mostly to do with the quantity of songs though, so could improve as time goes on.

I think theres like 24 on a singstar disk, they are 99p each to download on the ps3 and the mics arent wireless, so its a bargain imo

the fact you can add your own tracks is a bonus too

Its early days yet no doubt they will bring out new disks and marketplace content and even xbl multiplayer..

I have Singstar on my PS3 (Bought it for the kids to play one weekend as it was only £25 from Asda). Comes with two mics and about 24 tracks. There are extra disks you can buy to swap between (I think volume 3 just got released on the PS3) and I think you can use the PS2 Singstar disks as well. There's also a (oh god) Abba Singstar out now.

I'm looking forward to Lips. I think Microsoft will put out a good effort. And this is their first foray into the singing genre (If you don't count the one on the original XBox - which was a hoot.)
