    Default Fifa 11 (impressions)

Ok So i am finding it hard to get use to the new version.

Spanked off Danny last night and Steve this morning (cheers Guys )

The players seem unresponsive and often run into each other, take forever to get up from tackles and the bloody keepers seem to save every one on one.

To be honest I have been working on my career, did a season with Rochdale and got promoted, took a request to manage Leicester and now my pro plays for Rochdale and i am the manager of Leicester City, WTF? cant even find myself to transfer.

My VP does not seem to ever do RT+LT Dribble yet any other player I use does.

Players don't seem to lock onto crosses into the box any more, or it is my shitty wifi.
instead of jumping for the header they just wonder off

Not sure if any of the controls have changed yet, seems the same, just the AI and Passing is a lot more random/harder.

There are some new options which I have been tinkering with, not sure if this is the cause of my problem just yet.

    What does everyone else think?

I was kinda the same when i first started playing it but after a week or so I'm finding it really enjoyable. A couple of things to turn on that are off by default.

Pro Passing Assistance is off by default, turning it on will allow more freedom in your passes.

Also Analogue Sprint is off by default, turning I on will allow you to control your sprinting (holding RT half way will allow a better controlled sprint).

I think you have to unlock the skilled dribble too (LT and RT)

I have unlocked skill dribble cheers Danny
    still cant score at all

playing the cpu on world class they just dance round my defence (not even skill moves) more like move it to the side and then push it forward past them (I cant figure this out - its driving me mad)
it feels like there is no way to tackle them, esp around the box

Holding A down and trying to tackle just doesn't work any more, its like the ball is glued to there foot

When attacking i just bounce of the defender or am pushed off the ball (its driving me nuts) that is if the forward pass actually makes it to a striker or the stupid AI just doesn't respond before i gain control. sheilding is simply a waste of time.

also seem to be 2nd best to every 50-50, players just seems to be strolling around and not interested

maybe old age is setting in or I am missing some new buttons/combination, I dunno

I am leaving it for today, I am really hating it

This is the only correct review I agree with

I've noticed any Traits you unlock you have to manual enable them for your VP in the Edit Pro menu. You can select up to 5.

Also a new pass in Fifa (I think its new) Hold RB and X. It does a fast chest height pass, great for switching play quickly.

Ive become pretty frustrated with it too to be honest. A lot of people are moaning the game has chanced since the last patch was released. It does seem faster. I got spanked by Swiggy as well the other day haha

The games a piece of piss gents. U just have to play the game as if it was real life. Move the ball fast and keep it simple. Dribble with the right players. Eg, ronaldo, messi, ribery.

So far played 20 games online. 18 won 1 drawn and 1 lost on pens

I'm loving it. I took 9 months off FIFA (apart from a brief foray with FIFA WC 2010) and I think its paid dividends. Im struggling to score, but currently have Sheffield Wednesday at the top of League 1 (about 25 career games in) so I'm not doing that badly. I am finding tackling a LOT easier. I've not played anyone else yet, so will be interesting to see, I still feel like I have a lot to improve in my general play before Im willing to take you lot on

im loving it so far, only played online though which resulted in me getting my arse spanked quite a bit but i am getting use to the changes now. although it does piss me off when somebody quits and you dont get the points for a win.

as has already been said i tend to get the best results when you pass it around and try not to sprint unless you have lots of open space.

still not the best at dribbling i think this might be my own fault though as i always try changing direction at awkward angles

You do get the points mate. It just doesnt show it on the first screen. If you go into the player hub you can see your points have been added.

It then shows up on the main screen after your next game.

    you getting better then miffy?

well im getting there i had a 5 game win streak the other day which i lost. i think a lot of it is down to me experimenting as when i am a team i enjoy playing with i usually win.

i just need to practice dribbling now as i am pretty good with most other things like shooting and passing. still crap at set pieces but always have been.

there like the old pro evo where you dont keep hold of the analogue otherwise they sky it. just push it to the direction you want for a couple of steps if you think you gone to far tap shoot again to make them stop which gives you time to adjust

thats a good streak matt it makes me think i wont be taking your title again. will have to get another headset and get a game with you see what im up against

I think FIFA 11 has taken it to a whole new level of realism. Saying that, I am only playing Be A Pro Career mode at present and playing for Stockport County - so the majority of AI players are pretty pants.

I am playing and thinking as I would in a real game (minus the pain) and scoring like Samuel Eto

Either i'm getting too old for this or I need to spend some more time, at the momment I have got pounded in every game (same as FIFA 10) same in HALO...same in COD. The problem is I woudn't mind loosing but I throw a hissy fit every time I loose. Even though I promise myself before the game starts that I won't, by the end of the game my controller has been flung to the other side of the room and i'm cursing the screen untill my testostrone fulled rage subsides to a mumbling groan.

I HATE LIVE GAMES..IT MAKES ME LOOK SHIT
