    Xbox 360 Trailing Edge Gaming

    Hi all,

A busy life, a new baby and working permanent nights means I don't get much time for gaming. My xbox 360 has probably been on all of an hour in the last year.

With a desire to play through some of the gems I might have missed, I went looking for a couple of games in the bargain bins to scratch my gaming itch.

I picked up Max Payne 3 for £5 brand new from Asda and having been a fan of the Halo series since the start, I found Halo 4 for £5 including delivery pre-owned from Game.

I'm currently sick from work so have a few hours to kill. Today I fired them both up.

Both of them are very different but both of them are amazing games, especially for £5. I'm absolutely loving them and am about 2hours into each. Unheard of for me to spend 4 hours on a console these days !!

I can't believe how good these games are for the money.

I used to be desperate to get a new game as soon as it was released but with games like these about and as cheaply as they are, why would I bother ? I'm happy to play them 6,12 or 18 months after release and I mostly play only single player anyway.

My question is this... What other quality games can I bag on their trailing edge ?

    Cheers,

    malty.

Any of the last two GTA games IMO have been very entertaining, you can pick up 4 or 5 for between a tenner and 15 quid.. same with the Assassins creed series, the last two will kill many hours for a tenner of investment. I was thinking of the COD games but I didn't enjoy the single player on either and the online scene shifts quickly to the latest version. I would however suggest the battlefield last 2 as the single player was again very entertaining IMO.Also a bit left field.. but I like the Lego series of games.. Theyre a little simple but enjoyable. I buy them for my 5 year old but spend longer than him on them!!

Yeah I have too much to play at the moment with all the free games with gold things.

I found Max Payne quite annoying though and never finished it, think I got that on sale for about £8.

I have been really enjoying Dust (one of the free ones) as a nice simple playform / beat-em up / lite-rpg.

Also, you can get Ghosts on 360 and xbox one for £20 if you get the digital combo on amazon.

Not bargain bucket but quite cheap as you get it on both.

Rayman Ledgends I got for £15 a while back and played that quite a lot. You get 2 games with that as includes Origins.

    Thanks to inspectercoley

I probably should have mentioned that my first love is FPS.

I don't think I've played any Battlefield since the first one. Could be one to look for.

Far Cry Blood Dragon was good as well, nice and short but quite crazy and fun.

    Alan Wake was phenominal,
The dead space series was superb too.

I wish I'd never played them, just so I could discover them again.

    Thanks to I Black Belt
