Shit Outrage as Cadbury's owner changes Creme Egg recipe

Outrage as Cadbury's owner changes Creme Egg recipe

Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate is no longer used for Creme Eggs' shell

For many Brits, Easter wouldn't be the same without guzzling a few Cadbury’s Creme Eggs - often to the point of feeling just a little bit queasy.

Fans of the sickly-sweet fondant-filled snack may be shocked to learn, however, that the company's US owner has quietly changed the recipe.

Kraft Foods has stopped using Cadbury’s Dairy Milk for the shell, and instead is using a “standard cocoa mix chocolate,” according to The Sun.

A spokesman for Kraft told the paper: "It's no longer Dairy Milk. It's similar, but not exactly Dairy Milk. We tested the new one with consumers. It was found to be the best one for the Creme Egg, which is why we've used it this year.

"The Creme Egg has never been called the Cadbury's Dairy Milk Creme Egg. We have never played on the fact that Dairy Milk chocolate was used.”

It is not proving a good year for fans of the chocolate treat: many people have already voiced anger that the old multi-packs of six have been replaced with boxes of five, despite the fact that many retailers have kept the price the same.
In October Cadbury caused controversy when it announced it would no longer be making chocolate coins, a favourite Christmas treat in many households.
Perhaps it's time to learn how to make your own Creme Eggs?

And I bet the price doesn't change, the price of a single egg is pretty extortionate most places.

    Hey,

Gives us simpletons something to complain about. I reckon if we all sat down and did a taste test we would never know the difference.
If we are not complaining about Rita Ora's cleavage then we are complaining about confectionery.. If only we all had more important things to complain about and focus our energy on.

This has now become Egg Gate as the fuckers have pinched a complete egg.

No way to justify it with current fuel prices the production costs have sunken.

Can't believe they have the cunts on sale already in Asda. Just taken down the Christmas tree FFS.

This is a NEWS forum! people are sailing awfully close to the wind, 1 sideways reference to a pair of tits does NOT give licence to drag it so far off topic.
