Photos Just a wee Blue Tit on a branch

    This morning - dull conditions.

ISO 500 on the 150-500 hand held. No noise reduction.

    Full exif mate:

    ISO equiv: 500
    Exposure Bias: none
    Metering Mode: Matrix

    Aperture: f/6.3
    Exposure Time: 0.0040 s (1/250)
    ISO equiv: 500

Also got a "Fail" shot - as this was meant to be of the bird sitting on the fence, but it flew down. So wrong shutter speed and no intention of getting this. I have cloned out a clematis as well which crossed the blue tit and the centre of the photo from bottom to top! Just to prove that there's many shots that don't usual make it into the public domain!!!

Lovely mate. #2 is a cracker. #1 not too shabby either but I do like #2

Shame the bird wasn't in focus on the flight but as you said, it wasn't what you were expecting so to get it anyway is a bonus

    Thanks to dpSparhawk

Try Gulls mate. They're a little boring I suppose but one of the easiest to photograph in flight.. You might remember a bunch I took when I was up at Cape Wrath and Balnakiel last year (going back in May woooo! ). I baited them with bread and they swoop in really slowly. Then it's a case of progressing on to smaller and faster birds I believe :-/

    e.g http://ipc.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Ca...2013/i-RLVmZ9x

Actually took those with the 100L
